Should a museum tell visitors photography without a flash is oay but selfies aren’t? This is the predicament museums now face because of visitors who forget about the art that surrounds them when they take a selfie. For the generation who thrives on documenting and posting their daily movements the selfie also becomes a tool for promotion for museums.  In turn, museums must find a way to protect their art and accommodate the evolution in the visitors’ museum experience.
