Some insurers have decided to no longer offer coverage and others are avoiding the riskiest areas. Home construction is improving and homes can be built to better withstand the effects of climate change. Better buildings will not make the threats disappear however. This New York Times article presents a new perspective, how climate change will force migration, even within the United States. The hotter temperatures in the South and the drier climate fostering wildfires and unhealthy air quality will drive people to different regions over the next few decades.
