Chartwell Charitable Contributions
Resident Association of Greater Englewood: RAGE
At the start of the pandemic, recognizing that job losses resulting from Covid19 had a devastating financial impact for many people, each Chartwellian designated a charity for $1,000 Covid19 relief which we highlighted in our May Chartwell Bulletin on Coronavirus Rebates and Rebecca Woan’s OpEd in Crain’s Chicago Business. Thanks to a gift from Cincinnati Insurance we are able to support another charity and the Chartwellians selected the Resident Association of Greater Englewood, recently recognized by the Chicago Community Trust and the United Way of Metro Chicago. During the pandemic RAGE has been distributing groceries to combat food insecurity and to replace their community events and activities which have been suspended until the virus is no longer a threat to gatherings.
